Save H20......A note from Pasco County Utilities

Dear Valued Customer:

Pasco County Utilities continues to assess reclaimed water quantities and system operations to maximize customer access to reclaimed water for irrigation.  Some simple DIY steps to help maximize performance of your irrigation system include:

  • Ensure that irrigation heads are not blocked by obstructions, such as shrubs, trees, posts, or turf growing over/covering heads.
  • Clean the filters in irrigation heads. Cleaning irrigation head filters regularly, especially before the irrigation season, helps prevent clogging and ensures optimal water distribution. Consult the manufacturer's instructions for specific cleaning procedures related to your sprinkler head model.
  • Avoid irrigating when and where water is not needed.
    • Confirm that your irrigation system is equipped with a working rain sensing device set in active mode to prevent your irrigation system from operating during or shortly after a rain event.
    • For zones irrigating established non-turf materials only, reduce or eliminate run times.  Most native and Florida-Friendly shrubs and trees need little to no irrigation once established.

To assist our reclaimed water customers with springtime maintenance of their irrigation systems, we provide reclaimed water services on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon, and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note these hours are only available upon request. Requests must be received at least two (2) business days prior to the date when service is needed. Service availability is subject to change based on weather conditions, seasonal water levels, and systems demands and maintenance. Click here to locate the reclaimed water maintenance service request form. Or, see below for additional option to access the online form.

For reclaimed water users planning to install new landscape materials, when possible. it is suggested that installation be postponed until the start of the rainy season. This will allow newly planted materials to receive no-cost natural watering to help establish deep, drought resistant root systems.

And as always, please follow watering restrictions, regardless of irrigation water source.  Currently, irrigation with reclaimed water in Pasco County is only permitted once per week and only between the hours of midnight and 8 a.m. Irrigation days are assigned by address, as shown here. Note: Some community HOA’s may be responsible for the irrigation day and time for some residents. if that is true for your community, Please reach out to your HOA if you have questions about irrigation.

Spring has arrived........

"A Clean Environment Nurtures a Peaceful Heart"

Spring is here and that means it's time to tidy up, not only the inside, but the outside of your home as well.  Keeping a well maintained exterior shows you care about your home and your neighborhood.

Cleaning Check List:

  • Are your sprinklers working correctly?
    • It is wise to have your sprinklers checked once a year and maintained.  If you are unsure how to maintain your sprinkler system, contact an irrigation company.
  • Does your house, including eves, have green/black/brown spots?
    • Pressure wash
  • Is your sidewalk and driveway showing signs of dirt and moss?  Are the free from debris?
    • Pressure wash
    • Edge your sidewalk and drive way and blow away any leaves, sticks and debris
  • Are your trees hanging over the sidewalk or road?
    • Trim limbs high enough for people to navigate the sidewalk safely
  • Is your lawn maintained?
    • Cut and edge along sidewalks and driveway, collect or blow away debris
  • Is your garden bed looking shabby?
    • Remove weeds, trim bushes/plans
    • Plant some inexpensive flowers or shrubs
  • Is your mailbox turning green or dirty?
    • Wipe your mailbox monthly

Keeping your home and yard well kept shows pride in your community.

Operation Blue Roof
Saturday October 26th, 2024
8:00am – 11:00am
Clubhouse

On October 26th, 2024, from 8:00am – 11:00am at the Clubhouse, The Army Corp of Engineers will be available for you to sign up to have your roof tarped.  There is no cost for this service, but you must be present to get signed up

Autumn Shire, Lakeview, Augusta Links, Fairway Villas Residents.

It is imperative that you are at the clubhouse in order to get your roof tarped.  The roof at your residence is your responsibility.  Roof Reserves are set up to replace roofs when the life of the roof is near its end.  Roof Reserves are not intended for storm damage repairs/replacements.

Operation Blue Roof is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The purpose of Operation Blue Roof is to provide homeowners and permanently occupied rental properties in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced sheeting to cover their damaged roofs until arrangements can be made for permanent repairs. This is a free service to homeowners. Operation Blue Roof protects property, reduces temporary housing costs, and allows residents to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm.

The Right of Entry (ROE) is a legal document that allows Corps workers to access your property and assess damage to your home. The ROE also allows contracted crews to work on your roof.
